ZWO ASI533MC-P Cooled Camera for Astronomy To take pictures, all Pro cameras (with coolers) require an external 11–15 volt power source. For the camera to be recognised, the power supply needs to be used even when the cooler is not in use.

1" square sensor With a square configuration and 3.76 um pixel size, the IMX533 is a 1-inch, 9MP CMOS image sensor that can capture pictures at a rate of 20 frames per second in 14bit mode.

With a readout noise as low as 1.0e, it is excellent for high definition, low noise imaging and comparable to SCMOS or EMCCD sensors.

Glow at Zero Amp Conventional CMOS sensors emit a faint infrared light source while they are operating, which is frequently visible in the corner of inaccurately calibrated photos as the telltale "amp glow" phenomenon. Even when using high gain, long exposure imaging, you won't have to worry about amp glow because the ASI533MC PRO employs zero amp glow technology.

Dark Stream Note: We advise against utilising USB 3.0/2.0 just to power the camera; instead, use an extra 12V power supply. Please be aware that in order to operate the camera, an external DC 12V @3A~5A power supply adapter (connector 5.5*2.1mm, centre pole positive) must be attached. Just be advised that using power supply outside of this range could permanently harm your camera.

Memory Buffer DDR With its USB 3.0 interface, the ASI533MC PRO can achieve 20 frames per second even in 14bit mode. The 256MB DDR3 memory guarantees faster USB rates and consistent frame downloads.

Sony Sensor As the most recent version of the renowned ASI183MC Pro, the ASI533MC PRO boasts SONY's latest back-illuminated IMX533 sensor, a 1-inch square, 9.07MP sensor that is perfect for astronomical photographic demands. This latest generation camera, as one might expect, has many of the great qualities of the ASI183 series, including an attractive QE figure, high frame rate, and other key features. In addition, it has some new and improved features, like zero amp glow, extremely low read out noise (as low as 1.0e), 3.76 micron pixel size, and an upgraded two stage TEC cooler that provides better cooling capabilities.
